A common theme keeps students learning focused on a broad concept while touching on specific knowledge and skills throughout. The themes which are provided to us by SSS are one of the best vehicles for integrating content areas in a way that makes sense to children and helps them make connections to transfer knowledge they learn and apply it in a meaningful way. Their themes are related to what children already know, such as McDonald, cars, Jack and The Bean Stalk etc. Having prior knowledge gives young children confidence and opens them up to learn new information.
As the students 'understanding becomes deeper, the teacher can keep layering on new information to broaden the students ' knowledge base. They easily relate their studies with their surroundings and understand the importance of studies. Thematic curriculum organizes all the instructions of a particular group of students around a theme.
